Guide :Sewing Machines : LS-2125 Mechanical Sewing Machine

My fabric won't advance.

The material won't advance. I believe it is the feed dogs. Can I fix this myself? The machine runs great, but the dogs will not come up high enough to pull the fabric. We have dismantled the machinge twice and connot figure out why the feed dogs do not grab the material. Please help!! :(
